Combined review of PPK, Airbuster and upper cap manual release upgrade

The wealth of knowledge supplied by Tudor on his website and by the Facebook group have enabled me to steer clear of many of the learning curve rough spots associated with making friends with a La Pavoni Lever Machine. I have three other lever machines, so I had a knowledge foundation to start with upon acquiring my LP Pro, but it has “quirks” the other machines don’t have. That being said, it’s my favorite machine, lever or otherwise :-). The PPK made it much easier to figure out what I was doing. The Airbuster removed drawbacks that come with the OEM machine. I find that after installing the upper cap manual release I probably didn’t need it at all (like Tudor and Bong have advised). Nevertheless, I like having it. All of these components are excellently manufactured and beautifully finished. I can’t imagine using a LP without them. I know there are “purists” out there that think you don’t need all of this. That’s not me. I’m a tinkerer, so what better machine to have than a LP!
