La Pavoni Brass Sightglass Cover with new gaskets

Old-Style La Pavoni Brass Sightglass Cover with two new silicone gaskets, offered as a kit.

La Pavoni Brass Sightglass Cover with two new gaskets fits all version of Europiccola, Professional or Stradivari.

In case your machine has the plastic nuts, you need to change them with the metal ones.

But remember you need the brass washers from inside the retainers too, in order to do this mod.

This part used to be installed originally on old gen LP’s.

Enhances the look of your LP.

The cover is made of 100% of pure brass, CNC machined.

The product is delivered with two new silicone sight glass gaskets, ones from above and bottom.

Installation process is pretty easy:

Just remove the old metal sight glass cover (older gens) or the plastic mask (newer gens).
Remove the big nut cap from above the sight glass.
Release the two nuts that seal up and down, on the sight glass.
REMEMBER THE RIGHT AND CORRECT POSITION OF EACH AND EVER COMPONENT BEFORE TAKING NEXT STEPS.
Remove white teflon gasket and begin gently pushing the sight glass up, to release if from it’s original position and exit with it upwards.
Replace old silicon gaskets, one up one down. Two new gaskets are offered inside the package.
Insert the metal cover in the sight glass position.
Insert the sight glass back to it’s position, through the metal cover.
Note that the metal cover is not clip on, it needs to be first put into sight glass position and then reinsert the glass back.
Make sure that using some soft material like wood, you will insert the sight glass ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE CORRECT POSITION, before closing everything and testing the seal. First push by hand and after, use soft material to ensure good contact.
Please test the seal before using the machine.
Dont stand close and dont look too close at the sight glass when making first water and pressure seal testings, before first use and extraction.
If there are no water or pressure leaks present to the eye / ear, proceed to normal use of your LP.

DECLAIMER:

At newer gens, it seems that La Pavoni introduced the plastic mask that covers the sight glass in case the glass tube could break and hot water could splash.
WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND USERS TO REINSTALL THE PLASTIC MASK ALSO.
We cannot be held responsible in case for any injury, if the new metal sight glass cracks by any reason and you did not use the plastic mask to protect yourself from possible boiling water splash.
We also want to mention that older gens have only this type of metal cover over the sight glass and no plastic cover.

Disclaimer – Pure Brass Parts and Natural Patina

Our pure brass polished parts are made from untreated, genuine brass.

Over time, brass will naturally develop spots of oxidation and a so called patina. This is a normal and expected process, characteristic of authentic brass, and not a defect.

We intentionally do not apply coatings or platings to our brass parts. While coatings may initially prevent oxidation, they tend to develop visual defects over time that are more difficult to correct. In contrast, natural brass can easily be restored through simple manual polishing, allowing the part to regain its original shine whenever desired.

By purchasing brass parts from our store, you acknowledge and accept that:

• Natural oxidation and patina will occur with use and time.

• This change in appearance is part of the charm of genuine brass.

• Maintenance through occasional polishing is both possible and recommended.

If you prefer parts that do not change in appearance, please note that pure brass may not be suitable for your expectations.
