La Pavoni Lever fork and arm Teflon spacers kit to remove play or movement is not the perfect solution but does help into removing some play from the LP forks.

So, it’s not a solution that will remove ALL PLAY or movement but in my personal experience, the fork and lever arm will stay pretty fix and user will feel he or she are in full control of the movement top to bottom.

The shims or spacers need to be installed on the back face of the fork, front and back.

On some machines, it’s possible to install 2 each part, so 4 in front and 4 in the back.

There is no fork WITHOUT PLAY, please take that into consideration before the purchase.

Shims are not the perfect product, they sometimes get shredded and cannot be reused due to the tolerances machines have from production.

Sometimes they get shredded because there is not enough space between the inside of the fork and the group head, while on other machines you can sometimes use even 2 shims each side !

A few details that are important to know:

Group heads are NOT created standard and that’s the reason you have more space on some machines and less on others.

This is why we now ship 4 thinner shims (05.mm thickness) and 4 thicker shims (1mm thickness).

Also, sometimes to bend the fork arms a little towards inside helps a lot in removing the play on the back part. Especially the back part of the fork !

What I do is use a little grease on the back of the fork to keep the spacers in place while installing the fork and pins.

Same thing I do on the back roller, grease the sides and let the shims or spacers sit on it until I put the back pin in place.

Depending on your space, you can use spacers depending on their thickness.

If you have more space, use the thicker ones.

I also used as some time the thicker ones just on one side of the fork also.
