Good investment
Affordable, effective and easy mod for your GCP. Anyone can do it. I haven't measured the pressure after installing the 9 bar șpring, but the most important difference I noticed afterwards, is that the channeling is reduced to almost none (most of the time). I noticed an improvement in taste too, but that it's a completely subjective matter.
Great
works good for Gaggia Espresso Deluxe 2023 series!
Gaggia 9Bar OPV spring
Easy to install. Don't have the barometer to measure the actual pressure in the portafilter but you can tell it is less than the usual 12 bars. It is visible thinner that the original 12 bar spring.
Not 9 bars
It was a 6.5 bar spring, I measured it with my manometer on the basket. I managed to get it to 9.5 bars eventually by stretching it, but I don't know if it will last. I was able to measure months after the upgrade and shipping costs more than the spring itself so I didn't return it. Maybe it was a faulty one or got mixed but next time I will try another seller.
As expected
Happy with seller

Explaining the two product variations:
A) JUST SPRING – For machines that have TWO pipes going inside your water tank. It means you already have the upper OPV pipe going to the right of the machine (when you open it up and look inside) and into the water tank.
If you don’t have that one, it means you need to buy the the FULL KIT version.
B) FULL KIT – Spring plus one silicone hose and one Teflon cap.
Used on machines that have only ONE water hose going inside your water tank.
It means your OPV pipe goes usually into a Y split adapter and the extra water is released into the drain pipe and into the drip tray.
We do not want that, especially when we settle and use the 9 bar spring.
It means we will loose a lot of water into the drip tray for no reason.
The extra pipe is used for exactly that:
1. Remove the upper OPV pipe and use the provided Teflon cap to seal it up.
2. Use the provided silicone pipe to now re rout the OPV upper water from the valve to one of the right holes and into the water tank.
General rule is: only the machines made between 2019 and 2020 for the EU or UK markets or outside US might need the FULL KIT version.
If you open up your machine from the top, you need to check if your machine has the black plastic case OPV valve that has two hoses going inside it and also, you can check that on the right, you have or not, the upper OPV pipe going into one of the two right holes, into the water tank. If you have trouble finding these details, please contact me.

Older machines have the hex key set up OPV valves and cannot use this spring mod to lower the extraction pressure of your machine.
Gaggia Classic or Pro OPV spring mod – 9 bar version only.
Don’t see why it would be relevant on this coffee machine model to use other springs, like 5 or 6 bar.
Indeed some say that the 6 bar is the new 9 bar but personal taste cannot be commented.
IMHO, only on La Pavoni machines, of which the construction is not quite suitable for the standard 9 bar extraction, a lower extraction pressure would be suitable.
On Gaggia Classic Pro, I can only see a 9 bar extraction and not the factory standard or lower rates.
Made from Stainless steel material.
Gaggia Classic or Pro OPV spring mod – 9 bar version only gives 9 bar over your OPV.
This product was designed for the new Classic models (Classic Pro / Classic 2019).
It works on those OPV valves that have the black plastic body and are installed on top of the pump, that has two pipes leading from it.
It is not designed for the single silicone pipe that goes from it towards the over flow pipe.
