La Pavoni Lever plastic key to adjust toothed plastic wheel or ring of older pressure stat model is, as the title suggests, the easier way for adjusting the older pressure stats that have the plastic ring or wheel.

Steps to adjust the pressure SAFELY:

1. Plug in the machine and check exactly whats your maximum working pressure
2. Release false pressure (after machine ends the first heat up cycle) and re check whats the maximum pressure at which the pressure stat cuts the heat up cycle. Watch it come back up 2 or 3 times. Usually, the pressure of the Lp machines jumos from 0.8 to 1 bar, newer machines going at max 0.8 bar. As higher the boiler pressure, the bigger steam power BUT remember that that will also offer higher extraction temps.
3. If you machine needs a pressure stat adjustment, unplug the machine to work SAFELY!
4. To decrease the maximum pressure, turn the toothed plastic wheel counterclockwise and clockwise to increase pressure. 1/4 to 1/2 revolutions should make a clear change.
5. Switch the machine on and watch the new pressure cycles. Release false pressure by purging a little steam. The pressure stat does NOT make any clicks or specific sounds, but a quite room should help hear when the machine turns the heating element ON and OFF.
