Just go for it
I'm very happy with this solution. But removing the brass ring that holds the boiler to the base, was a challenge to get off. I drilled holes in to the old ring so I could fit the new ring on top, to be able to hammer in the groove's and finally loosen the old ring ;-)
Great product
Excellent item! Thanks

Description
La Pavoni Heating Element Boiler Flange for Old Pre ‘82 machines has an M80.4 x 1.25 – Fine inside thread.
Fits the old LP’s Pre Mill machines, including the 1st gens made from 60’s and 70’s.
Remember that new machines made after year 2000 need the normal courser thread: https://coffee-sensor.com/product/la-pavoni-brass-boiler-to-base-ring-95mm/
This ring or flange is useful when you want to convert those old heating elements (screw on to the boiler thread type) to the new stainless steel models, fixed into position with the 3 bolts on the side.
Custom made stainless steel part, same quality as other parts that we offer for your La Pavoni.
La Pavoni Heating Element Boiler Flange for Old Pre ‘82 machines, in order to help you with your conversion, needs also:
1. New style heating element (2 or 4 prong type);
2. New style heating element gasket / o-ring: https://coffee-sensor.com/product/la-pavoni-lever-heating-element-gasket-or-seal-code-1186641-465225-red-silicone/
3. Three side bolts to fix the heating element on the conversion ring: https://coffee-sensor.com/product/la-pavoni-lever-element-bolt-m5x10-code-403210/
4. New model thermofuse and the holding nut: https://coffee-sensor.com/product/la-pavoni-lever-thermostat-127c-701812/ and https://coffee-sensor.com/product/la-pavoni-lever-heating-element-thermofuse-m4-holder-nut/
5. Thermal grease for best contact between the fuse and heating element body;
6. ONLY IF YOU USE THE 2 PRONG MODEL: New pressure stat / switch pipe, in case yours did not get off in one piece form the old heating element (best to try this before buying the entire conversion kit);
7. ONLY IF YOU USE THE 2 PRONG MODEL: New type pressure stat / switch.
All parts are available on our website.
Remember that the simple heating element with 2 prongs does use a pressure stat or switch and has a threaded hole for the pipe and pressure stat.
The 4 prong DUAL HEATING elements DO NOT HAVE a pressure switch hole and so, do NOT use the switch and it’s pipe.
In this case, the inside pressure from the boiler is regulated with the help of the safety valve in this case, which hisses constantly to keep the pressure constant.
